At Overdale, our classical approach to teaching is very interactive and trainers encourage feedback from their pupils throughout lessons. Each lesson is tailored to the individual's needs, with a friendly commentary that will never leave the rider nervous or confused. |
Many pupils who have tried and failed to make progress elsewhere are amazed by the results in such a short space of time at Overdale.
The yard has a small selection of well schooled horses ranging from nannies suited to the most nervous riders, to dressage and jumping schoolmasters for ambitious competitors. In addition, our sociable ponies are hand-picked for even the smallest of children to begin to learn to ride upon, and guarantee a lot of fun along the way.
Costs:
¾ hour individual (adult): £25.00
½ hour individual (child): £17.00
¾ hour group (child): £15.00
Overdale boasts a superb, large covered arena - over 20 metres by almost 70, with a high quality surface, and mirrors. There is also a smaller outdoor lunging arena. Show-jumps are available, and there are well-built cross-country jumps throughout the fields. Local hacking is excellent, with many bridle-paths criss-crossing the glorious Evenlode Valley.

Liveries benefit from the use of all facilities, with horses enjoying large stables, 24 hour supervision and the quiet, friendly atmosphere at the yard. Bedding is on shavings, with high quality hard feed and ample haylage. Liveries also benefit from their own tack room, tea and coffee making facilities, wash boxes and year-round turn-out. Whether full or part, all livery needs are met with individual attention. |

Horses and ponies taken in for breaking and schooling are given truly customised care. From starting off youngsters to bringing on and competing sports horses - or simply caring for a horse while the owner is away on holiday - Overdale supplies the calm, knowledgeable foundation for success. Each horse is produced with attention to detail, keeping owners fully informed and always ensuring the horse's best interests at heart.

Breaking: £180.00 per week
Schooling: £170.00 per week

Overdale is an outstanding base for students, offering intensive training for working pupils from one week to one year, with accommodation on site, daily coaching, and the opportunity to bring your own horse by negotiation. Many pupils come back again and again to enjoy the friendly Overdale expertise. Intensive riding courses also available.
